About Openvolt:
Openvolt is building the API for Energy. Our aspiration is to create the underlying data infrastructure that will enable a new wave of innovators to accelerate the energy transition. We are currently focused on unlocking access to smart meter data across Europe. Specifically we integrate with smart meter data hubs and enable our clients, other software companies, to easily and compliantly access this data. Our plans for Openvolt go well beyond this and we're seeking a capable and driven Product Marketing Lead to help position Openvolt as a leading player in this impactful market.
About the role:
- This is the first marketing hire in the team (indeed the first GTM hire). It’s a critical role with ultimate responsibility for building our inbound sales pipeline and over time, engaging and educating existing customers to help them get the most out of the Openvolt API
- You will be responsible for crafting and executing the inbound marketing strategy with the goal to establish Openvolt as the category leader in the energy data space. We expect this will include a variety of levers including brand building (such as content marketing, thought leadership, etc.), performance marketing, trade show participation, email campaigns, etc
- This is a 0 to 1 role. We have very little marketing established and so you will drive our efforts completely
About you:
- 5+ years of overall professional experience with at least 2-3 years being in a generalist product marketing role for a B2B software company. Ideally you should have had exposure to several of the different product marketing levers mentioned above
- Prior startup experience is ideal. You know what it means to work in a small, scrappy team. Every day counts which means you show tons of urgency. You are creative in doing a lot with very little
- You can operate at the strategic level (putting together a well thought out marketing plan) as well as have exceptional attention to detail (you know what ‘good’ looks like)
- You currently work remotely and you love the independence and responsibility of delivering. You show high ownership and accountability with a proven track record of delivering impact (you can very clearly articulate this impact)
- You’re comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative marketing (a good sense of what it means to build a brand identity + can tackle the analytical side of campaign analysis etc)
- Fluency in more than one language is a bonus
