đABOUT YOUYouâre an experienced and driven technical project manager with a strong background in leading complex development projects that span hardware, firmware, and software. With over five years of hands-on experience, youâve successfully delivered projects using structured lifecycle processes and Agile methodologies, ensuring quality and efficiency at every stage. Your expertise includes managing full software development stacks, from planning and prioritisation to resource allocation and progress tracking. Youâre confident using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Microsoft Project to keep teams aligned and projects on track. You bring a strategic mindset to development planning, with a proven ability to produce and maintain resource-levelled plans. Your leadership style is collaborative and motivating, enabling cross-functional teams to thrive under your guidance. You communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and youâre known for your analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making. Ideally, you have experience in the Telecare or Telecoms sectors and have managed outsourced software development. You hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a formal project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or AgilePM. Organised, detail-oriented, and resilient under pressure, you excel at juggling multiple priorities and deadlines. Youâre passionate about delivering innovative, practical solutions and ensuring service readiness through thorough documentation, testing, and configuration management. đTHE ROLEAppello are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex technical projects that involve the development and delivery of hardware, firmware, and software solutions. The role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of projects through effective collaboration with internal and external teams, while maintaining a focus on quality, timelines, and cost-efficiency. In addition to managing the technical delivery, the TPM ensures that robust post-launch support mechanisms are designed and implemented to sustain product performance throughout its lifecycle. The TPM also has direct responsibility for managing the software development stack and ensuring that development resources are effectively planned, allocated, and managed. This includes creating and maintaining an overall development plan that is resource-levelled, balancing internal capacity with external outsourcing where required. A key accountability is ensuring that all developments follow a structured and governed process: Service Design and specifications must be in place before development begins, testing must run in parallel with development, and documentation, configuration management, and Service Acceptance criteria must be completed before solutions are deployed into production. âď¸Main Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Define roadmaps, track progress, manage risks, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate across internal functions and manage external suppliers to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Development Oversight: Guide hardware, firmware, and software development, ensuring technical alignment and Agile practices.
- Resource & Outsourcing Management: Maintain development plans, balance capacity, and manage outsourced work.
- Lifecycle Governance: Oversee service design, parallel testing, and deployment readiness.
- Post-Launch Support: Design support systems, ensure service continuity, and implement feedback loops.
- Change & Quality Management: Control scope changes, assure quality, and conduct post-implementation reviews.
- Budget & Vendor Management: Manage budgets and contracts to ensure cost-effective, compliant delivery.
