**About the Role**

You'll be working as an Associate, in the Economic Crime and Compliance team, primarily focused on our Register of Overseas Entities service and KYC gathering for the company.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**

*   Verifying and registering overseas entities with Companies House
*   Completing checks on Elemental’s clients, overseas companies and individuals
*   Manage pipelines of clients and active engagement to complete pipelines.
*   To operate in line with the established work policies and procedures.
*   Liaise and follow-up with clients for the work process, attend to enquiries and queries and collection of necessary documentation to submit applications.
*   Be able to complete and review the application on the registrar of companies platform, perform follow-ups and to attend queries.
*   Comply with and observe all Anti-Money Laundering policies and procedures stated in Elemental’s compliance documents.
*   Ensure that business is conducted in compliance with relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
*   Liaise with support and accounting department for issuance of invoice and follow up with client to ensure for timely settlement.
*   Timely update of pipelines and active deals and reporting to Management team.
*   Ensuring active engagement with internal and external stakeholders and ensure an excellent client experience.
*   Discuss and escalate challenges with the Management team.
*    Ensure compliance with internal systems, procedures and processes.
*   Assist with enhancing quality of knowledge base and service delivery.
*   Assist with marketing and business intelligence initiatives.

**About You**

You'll have the following attributes (although candidates meeting only some of the following criteria will be considered):

*   Applicants should have at least a degree in a relevant field.
*   At least 2 years of experience within a first line compliance role.
*   Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance rules and their relevant guidelines from an operational perspective.
*   Excellent understanding of the verification of international corporates, Trusts and individuals.
*   Ability to deliver high quality work independently and under tight reporting deadlines.
*   A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*   Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Anti-Money Laundering Officer

*   Our client is a an Irish headquartered NASDAQ quoted biopharmaceutical company building for planned significant growth at a very exciting stage. With a commercial product, approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in 2023 as the first and only single daily does treatment for a debilitating disease, this represents a > $1B peak sales opportunity for the company.
*   The company's Irish based operating subsidiary, owns and controls the group's intellectual property portfolio, and is responsible for R&D, product supply and quality oversight of commercial product. The Irish entity manages a number of third-party contract manufacturers and contract development organisations for the development and manufacture of the product.
*   Following the FDA approval and subsequent launch of the product in 2023, the company has grown rapidly to ~200 employees. The majority of roles within the company's U.S. and Ireland based operations operate remotely.

**Background to the Irish FD role**

*   The company has a clear and straightforward 5-year strategy with three key pillars for growth to maximise the value of its lead programme, continue to expand the use of its commercial product in new indications, and invest in both internal and external innovation to add new products to the development pipeline. Arising from this, there are significant opportunities with the company globally and in Ireland for growth including the newly created role of Irish Finance Director.

**Location and Reporting lines**

*   The Irish Finance Director can work remotely form anywhere in Ireland. Employees at the Irish based entity operate remotely; the company's registered address is in Dublin; however, employees work from home from across Ireland. The team meet regularly in central locations across Ireland to ensure interpersonal connections, efficient working and togetherness.
*   The Finance Director will report to the Vice President and General Manager based in Europe and work closely with the Corporate Controller and Director Financial Reporting based in the United States.

**Key Responsibilities:**

*   The Irish Finance Director role will establish the Treasury function (management of Investments and Inter-company loans in Ireland) and build out the Irish Finance Director role.
*   There is a project management element to the role and CSRD implementation that comes into effect in 2025 and SEC climate-related disclosures with support from U.S. based Finance team colleagues. CSRD involves managing a lot of company vendors as our client operates as a virtual company.
*   The Irish Finance Director will lead development of the Irish finance function through innovation as the company grows.
*   The Group Board meet in Ireland numerous times a year providing great exposure for the Irish Finance Director and growth opportunities.

**Candidate Requirements:**

What will you be up to within this role?

**Financial Operations and Process Improvement**

*   Manage outsourced core accounting processes including AR, AP \[Dext\] and payroll \[external bureau\]
*   Build scalable processes to handle high volume transactions covering “click” (revenue) to “cash” (collections) \[Rev Rec tool to be implemented\]
*   Own process improvements including decentralised spending (Soldo) and customer invoice automation \[Hubspot to Xero\]
*   Evolve processes to enable departmental reporting \[Xero\]
*   Evolve and own basic financial controls
*   Support cross functional process improvements

**Financial Reporting**

*   Own month end and key processes such as revenue recognition, deferred revenue and accrued liabilities
*   Own BS reconciliation schedules
*   P&L, BS and Cashflow analysis
*   Support the buildout of monthly standard internal reporting pack
*   Support ad hoc internal and external reporting

**Regulatory**

*   Liaise with external consultants and lead annual filings for statutory accounts, corporate tax (including estimated quarterly corporate tax instalments) and R&D claim.
*   Transition quarterly UK and International VAT processes in house
*   Lead 2025 first year audit

**Skills & RequirementsMust-have:**

*   Fully qualified - ACA preferred (but ACCA or CIMA is acceptable)
*   5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, ideally across both practice and private with 2+ years PQE. _This role particularly suits someone already within a Financial Controller role (~2years) and is looking to push their capabilities at a tech scale-up._
*   A demonstrated foundation of accounting principles and best practices
*   Competent with Excel and light modelling

**Preferred experience:**

*   High growth start-up or scale-up experience, with a strong preference for high volume B2C subscription / SAAS
*   Data analytics skills are a plus!
