Better Placed Tech has partnered with a Microsoft backed AI business that is close to securing a major seed round from a leading AI VC. With this impending funding and a great array of clients, they are now looking to add to their UK based team.

The founding team is composed of industry leaders and innovators taken from some of the best-known tech businesses and educational institutions on the globe. They’re working on cutting edge technologies that are revolutionizing the AI landscape.

Now is the time for a mid-level QA Engineer to come on board and be a key part of the UK team.

This role is fully remote, but it would be good if you are open to travelling to Silicon Valley 1-2 times per year for collaboration.

The Job

You’ll be a talented, motivated QA Engineer with either a top Uni degree in Maths/CS etc or 6-18 months experience in a native AI start up. As a key UK hire you will work with an incredibly bright team of software and ML engineers are their dedicated tester.

Experience and skills required:

Any of the following would be useful:

• Python testing: pytest, unittest
• JavaScript testing: Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
• Selenium
• Unit and integration testing, end to end testing

Any AI-Specific Testing Tools

• Model testing: MLflow for tracking experiments
• A/B testing: Split or GrowthBook for model comparison
• Performance monitoring: Weights & Biases or TensorBoard

API & Integration Testing

• REST API testing: Postman, REST-assured, or direct pytest with requests

The absolute key to the role is experience in AI startups working with small teams of AI Engineers and ML Engineers. If you don’t fit this criteria your application won’t be considered.
