Hours: Part-Time (Flexible, typically 15–20 hours per week)

Reports To: Registered Manager / Operations Manager

Job Purpose

To support the growth and quality of the service by sourcing, attracting, screening, and onboarding high-quality care staff. The recruiter will play a key role in ensuring a consistent pipeline of compassionate, skilled carers who meet regulatory and company standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Sourcing

  • Proactively source candidates using job boards, social media, referrals, and local community networks
  • Write and post engaging job advertisements tailored to the home care sector
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of care assistants and support workers

Screening & Selection

  • Conduct initial telephone and video interviews to assess candidate suitability
  • Evaluate candidates against company values, experience, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring managers where required

Compliance & Onboarding

  • Manage pre-employment checks including right to work, references, and DBS checks
  • Ensure all recruitment activities meet regulatory standards (e.g., CQC requirements)
  • Support candidates through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth start

Candidate Experience

  • Provide a positive and professional experience for all applicants
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records on recruitment systems and trackers
  • Provide weekly updates on recruitment activity, pipeline, and hiring metrics
  • Continuously improve recruitment processes and suggest new strategies

Key RequirementsEssential

  • Previous recruitment experience (preferably within health & social care or similar Sector)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements in recruitment (e.g., right to work checks)
  • Proficient in using job boards, Microsoft Office, and online recruitment tools

Desirable

  • Experience recruiting for domiciliary/home care roles
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and regulations
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS)
