π About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and creative Public Relations (PR) Officer to develop and execute public relations strategies that enhance our brand reputation and strengthen relationships with media, stakeholders, and the wider community. The successful candidate will create engaging communications, manage media relations, coordinate public campaigns, and support corporate communication initiatives across Australia.
π― Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement public relations and corporate communication strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry stakeholders
- Draft and distribute press releases, media statements, newsletters, speeches, and other communication materials
- Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, corporate events, and public engagement activities
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on brand visibility and public sentiment
- Manage reputation by responding to media inquiries and supporting crisis communication initiatives
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, and leadership teams to deliver consistent messaging
- Create content for websites, social media platforms, blogs, and internal communication channels
- Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community engagement programs
- Track PR campaign performance and recommend continuous improvements
- Ensure all communications align with brand guidelines and organizational objectives
β Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, or a similar role
- Excellent written, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience preparing media materials and managing public communication campaigns
- Familiarity with digital media, social media platforms, and content management systems
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Experience using media monitoring and analytics tools is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
