Software Engineer

EDX Wireless is seeking a Software Engineer. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work remotely

EDX Wireless has been a global leader and pioneer in wireless network design and planning tool technology for over 30 years. Our software sets the standard for quality and productivity in RF planning, and we’re looking to continue that tradition into the next generation of wireless for 5G, IoT, and Smart Cities.

We have an opening for a software developer role for our new technology feature sets and want to consider adding you to our team. 

We also have some incredibly fun projects building cloud services in Microsoft Azure. 

Math and/or Physics background is a big plus. This role will dig heavily into radio propagation and interference. Most programming will be in C++ and C#. Microsoft Azure experience, web services, REST APIs, Database work are all extremely nice additions. A solid five years of work experience is preferable.

Requirements:

· Math &/or Physics Background

· Experienced in C# & C++

· Experienced in dialog/GUI work

· Working with GIS data

· Web services background (Azure) will be helpful

Our development team may be small but maintains swift productivity and efficiency. We are looking for someone who can think through a solution quickly, implement it efficiently and help maintain product confidence. Someone who isn’t afraid to get into any code (legacy or modern, language is no barrier). Someone willing to learn something new if it will solve the problem. This particular role will require delving down into the depths of 5G and LTE radio technology. Math and physics knowledge are both pretty handy here. An interest in radio and wireless technology is a plus.

We work in an agile environment using JIRA for maintaining Sprints and tickets. We meet and talk as a team throughout the week and have a few company meetings throughout the month as well. We encourage participation and value everyone's input. We want a team player, someone who can challenge us, ask good questions, provide insight and participate in discussions. We typically get requirements each quarter for major features and are tasked with the design and implementation. This is where group participation comes in. We have a weekly design meeting to go over cool ideas, discuss the latest problem we are having, or present a design for a new feature.
