A fast-growing payments solutions company helping businesses simplify payments, drive efficiency, and scale globally. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a commercially driven Marketing Director to own demand generation, revenue growth, and sales-aligned marketing programs.

Role Overview

The Marketing Director will be a growth-focused, revenue-oriented leader responsible for driving measurable business outcomes through marketing. This role is hands-on and commercially-minded, owning the full lead-to-revenue pipeline, building awareness, and delivering campaigns that directly impact sales and business growth.

The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with executional excellence, optimizing marketing spend for maximum ROI, and aligning marketing initiatives closely with the sales team to accelerate revenue.

Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue & Demand Generation

  • Own end-to-end lead generation strategy to drive pipeline growth and revenue.
  • Work closely with Sales to ensure marketing programs are aligned with commercial targets.
  • Manage campaigns that generate qualified leads, nurture prospects, and accelerate conversion into paying customers.
  • Measure, analyze, and optimize marketing performance metrics: CPL, lead-to-opportunity, conversion rate, CAC, pipeline contribution, and ROMI.

Commercial & Strategic Marketing

  • Set marketing strategy with a focus on revenue impact and measurable growth.
  • Own and manage the marketing budget, ensuring spend is tied to business outcomes and ROI.
  • Optimize the mix of digital channels (paid media, SEO, email, social, content marketing) to drive leads and revenue efficiently.
  • Oversee offline marketing initiatives including conferences, trade shows, and events, ensuring commercial value is captured.

Sales Alignment & Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales leadership to ensure marketing programs feed the pipeline effectively.
  • Provide insights, reporting, and analytics to track marketing contribution to revenue and forecast impact.
  • Ensure messaging and campaigns resonate with target buyers and support commercial objectives.

Leadership & Execution

  • Lead a small marketing team, setting priorities and driving execution across digital, content, and event channels.
  • Build a data-driven marketing culture where performance, measurement, and ROI are central.

  • Cost per lead (CPL)
  • Lead-to-opportunity / lead-to-sale conversion rates
  • Customer acquisition cost (CAC)
  • Marketing-sourced pipeline & revenue
  • Return on marketing spend (ROMI)
  • Event ROI / lead contributionCandidate RequirementsExperience & Skills
  • Proven Marketing Director, Head of Marketing, or Growth Marketing leader experience in B2B technology, fintech, or payments.
  • Strong track record of driving demand generation, pipeline growth, and measurable revenue impact.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets with clear focus on ROI.
  • Hands-on with HubSpot or other marketing automation tools, CRM, and digital marketing channels.
  • Experience with trade shows, events, and conference marketing aligned to commercial outcomes.

Commercial & Analytical Mindset

  • Revenue-focused and sales-aligned, with deep understanding of pipeline contribution and customer acquisition economics.
  • Comfortable analyzing metrics such as CPL, CAC, LTV, ROMI, and lead-to-sale conversion to inform strategy.
  • Strong ability to optimize campaigns and channels for growth.

Leadership & Personal Attributes

  • Strong leadership and people management skills; able to lead a small team and drive results through others.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
