THIS IS A VOLUNTEER BOARD POSITION.

We are a start-up and waiting for ACNC to approve our status.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate financial statements and reports supplied by CEO
• Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies
• Work with CEO to make sure all the board understand their fiduciary responsibilities
• Work with the CEO to draft the budget year

Qualifications

• 2+ years' of experience in finance or accounting
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Experience in leadership and team management
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive community
• Experience with remote work and virtual collaboration tools
• Prior experience in community-building or non-profit organizations is a plus
