Procurement Director (Remote - US)

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Procurement Director to lead software, cloud, and hardware sourcing initiatives for mid-size to large agreements. In this role, you will drive end-to-end procurement strategies, including cost modeling, vendor negotiations, benchmarking, and opportunity identification. You will collaborate with stakeholders across client organizations, leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize sourcing outcomes. This position requires both strategic vision and tactical execution, ensuring that procurement decisions align with broader business objectives. The role is remote, offering autonomy while connecting you with a global network of experts to support successful project delivery. Accountabilities The Procurement Director will:

• Lead strategic sourcing projects for cloud, on-premise software, and hardware agreements
• Develop financial and pricing models to inform negotiation strategies and decision-making
• Negotiate contracts with major software and hardware vendors, understanding their commercial models, licensing metrics, and market positioning
• Manage and execute complex RFPs and procurement projects from initiation through completion
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, providing clear presentations, project updates, and recommendations
• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and optimize costs
• Define project objectives, schedules, and deliverables while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously

Requirements Candidates should have:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing of cloud and on-premise software and hardware (subscription, term, and perpetual licenses)
• Strong quantitative analysis skills, including creation and interpretation of financial models to support negotiations
• Proven experience negotiating agreements with leading vendors (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle, VMware, Dell/EMC, IBM/Red Hat)
• Experience leading large-scale procurement projects and RFPs
• Excellent presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote work environment
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field (IT, finance, engineering, math, analytics) or equivalent experience
