In this role, you will lead high-impact IT programs, providing strategic direction, management oversight, and technical guidance across enterprise initiatives. You will work with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver software modernization, data analytics, and enhanced user experiences for mission-critical systems. This position requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, managing program budgets, schedules, and performance metrics, and ensuring alignment with federal IT policies and standards. You will oversee cybersecurity and compliance activities, guide project execution from planning to delivery, and provide executive-level briefings to support informed decision-making. This role offers a dynamic environment for professionals passionate about innovation, collaboration, and making a meaningful impact on government technology programs. Remote work is supported with occasional on-site presence as needed. Accountabilities
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for IT portfolio management and modernization programs
- Lead multi-disciplinary Agile teams delivering software enhancements and data analytics solutions
- Serve as the primary liaison for federal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with policies, governance frameworks, and compliance standards
- Oversee program budgets, performance metrics, risk management, and cybersecurity processes
- Direct Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and continuous integration/deployment
- Maintain configuration management, documentation, and system change control for quality and audit readiness
- Prepare executive briefings, status reports, and dashboards to support portfolio-level decision-making
- Foster collaboration across teams, contractors, and federal partners to ensure cohesive strategy execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years managing complex IT programs in the federal sector, including CPIC, FITARA, or IT governance experience
- Proven experience leading Agile software development teams and enterprise-scale modernization efforts
- Deep understanding of federal IT portfolio management, shared services, and capital planning processes
- Experience with OMB A-11, FISMA, NIST RMF, cybersecurity, and ATO processes
- PMP or PgMP certification required; Agile/Scrum Master or SAFe certification preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; experience briefing senior executives
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance
