Software Engineer (Remote)

In this role, you will contribute to the development of high-impact, full-stack software applications used both internally and externally. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable, high-quality solutions, leveraging modern frontend and backend technologies. The position offers an opportunity to work remotely while participating in collaborative development, code reviews, and software architecture discussions. You will help streamline development through automation, unit testing, and best practices in software engineering. This role is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and shaping the architecture of mission-critical applications. Accountabilities:

• Build, test, and release mission-critical full-stack applications
• Design and implement frontend features using ReactJS, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, MaterialUI, React Hooks, GraphQL, and REST
• Develop backend code and services using Python, AWS (ECS, EKS, S3), and RESTful APIs
• Collaborate with QA, product management, and UI/UX teams to define and deliver application features
• Contribute to software architecture decisions, perform code reviews, and ensure unit testing for high-quality software
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve team productivity
• Troubleshoot issues systematically and conduct root cause analysis to maintain robust systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, Python, and AWS services
• Proficiency with frontend technologies: ReactJS, HTML, CSS, MaterialUI, React Router, React Hooks, GraphQL, REST
• Proficiency with backend technologies: Python, RESTful APIs, AWS Services (ECS, EKS, S3)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, unit testing, and test-driven development
• Familiarity with Agile development processes and accessible software tools
• Ability to overlap at least 4 hours with a team in Serbia time zone for collaboration
