This person will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Middleware and Data Management (HMDM) contract. The Project Coordinator is responsible for tracking, managing, and ensuring timely submission of all contract deliverables in compliance with client agreements and internal standards. This role serves as the central point of contact between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure contractual obligations are met, properly documented, and archived. The candidate must reside within the continental US. Responsibilities
- IT Program Management Support
- Assist team leads in planning, executing, and closing projects
- Track timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and milestones
- Maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Jira, MS SharePoint, MS Office applications
- Own the team onboarding process which requires communication with new hires, coordinating process tasks, troubleshooting process issues, and updating the tracker with accurate and up to date information.
- Technical Coordination
- Coordinate with team leaders and development, operations, and security staff.
- Track technical progress, deployments, and system changes
- Documentation & Systems
- Maintain technical documentation, including requirements, system diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks
- Ensure version control and documentation standards are followed
- Support knowledge base updates and system handoff documents
- Stakeholder Communication
- Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams
- Provide regular status reports, risk updates, and milestone tracking
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action item logs
- Risk & Issue Management
- Monitor and log project risks and issues
- Escalate blockers to the team lead and relevant stakeholders
- Track issue resolution progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business Administration, Contract Management, or related scientific/technical discipline is required.
- 3+ years of experience in Information Technology related projects or education. including IT project life cycle and project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with government contracting, compliance standards, or regulated industries and software development is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure components and development concepts
- Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Teams, ServiceNow, and GitHub
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and teamworking abilities
- Strong leadership and customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and contract management tools.
- Knowledge and experience with formal delivery methodologies SAFe, Agile, Scrum, etc.
- Experience interfacing with senior-level stakeholders.
- Deadline-driven and proactive.
- Process-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Focus on compliance and client satisfaction.
- Experience in Healthcare IT a plus.
- Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
