Key Objectives As a Home Based Data Entry Typist, your primary goal is to ensure the timely and precise input of patient information, medical records, and administrative data. Your work will directly impact the clinic’s ability to provide excellent care and maintain compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter patient and medical data into electronic health record systems.
  • Verify the completeness and correctness of data before submission.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to clarify data discrepancies and resolve errors promptly.
  • Organize and update digital files and records to support clinic operations.
  • Meet daily and weekly data entry targets while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Assist with generating reports and summaries as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data entry or typing roles, preferably within healthcare or wellness industries.
  • Strong typing skills with a minimum speed of 50 words per minute and high accuracy.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or similar databases is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members when needed.
  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace at home.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in data management or healthcare administration are advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data entry software.
