Senior Software Engineer

Our client, a global tech company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract with a view to extending further. This role can be carried out remotely from anywhere in the Republic of Ireland.

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners

Responsibilities

• Be a technical contributor on an Agile team, collaboratively realising features through the software development lifecycle
• Help lead in design, development and unit testing of the Cloud products including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported
• Design, code, test, debug and document software according to Cloud’s systems standards, policies and procedures, and navigate between these responsibilities
• Responsible for preparing and presenting design documentation
• Analyse business needs and create software solutions and apply domain-driven design

Requirements

Essential

• Proficiency in Java, REST, Spring Boot, GraphQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka
• Expertise in loosely Coupled Microservices Event Driven Architectures
• Extensive understanding of Cloud-native systems, designed to embrace rapid change, large scale, and resilience; API First design, API gateways and Service Mesh architecture
• 5+ years of related experience in a software development role, extensive experience in cloud domain

Preferred

• Good understanding of User Interface – React framework
• Preferable working experience in large scale projects
