Niyam is seeking a Marketing and Social Media Specialist to join our team. This position is remote, and will require the employee to live in a HUB zone. This position is for 10 hours a week. If you are looking for a few extra hours a week this may be the job for you. In this position you will generate engaging, original content for our digital media. The Marketing and Social Media Specialist will research topics and develop interesting posts that will appeal to our target audience and promote the blog using social media, and other methods to alert and expand our following and depict our core values and capabilities. You should be a skilled, tech-savvy writer/creator who can create appealing, insightful posts that will reach and grow our audience. To succeed, you should be focused on generating and composing interesting content and expanding your readership. You should be creative, adaptable, and analytical with excellent writing skills and a unique voice. Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and search skills.
  • Proficient in SharePoint, web utilization and other systems as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms
  • Generate, research, and pitch ideas for posts.
  • Write, edit, publish, and promote content.
  • Promote new posts and attract new readers.
  • Advocate and educate others about interests, products, or services.
  • Maximize site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.
  • Invite bloggers, experts, or other notable guests to contribute content to the webpage.
  • Monitor responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.
  • Stay current on industry trends for possible opportunities to attract new readers or create stronger, more engaging content.
  • Research information based on company objectives and capabilities.
  • Maintain information on SharePoint.
  • Validate information prior to posting to ensure credibility of data.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree (or working towards) in Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Media, Business, IT
  • Proficiency with computers, especially content management software, social media platforms, MS Office, and SEO keywords, a basic understanding of HTML.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional creativity and adaptability.
  • Strong understanding of the target audience and industry trends.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
