Sr. Software Developer - Apps/C# .NET

This position, which reports to a Manager in the SEC Reporting/Accounting Policy group, will assist the SEC Reporting Team in preparing required periodic SEC Filings. The Lead Accountant will have strong analytical skills and be able to work both independently and as a member of cross-functional teams. The Lead Accountant will demonstrate excellent communication, data gathering, analysis, reporting and process improvement skills. Job Description

• Assists in the execution of SEC filings and financial analysis.
• Prepares thorough documentation to support SEC accounting schedules and workpapers.
• Analyzes peer disclosures and identifies reporting trends and areas of improvement.
• Suggests enhancements in department processes and procedures to increase efficiency and/or improve customer service.
• Consults with external auditor on reporting issues when necessary to enhance efficiency of required audit work related to these issues.
• Assists with various aspects of the yearly audit.
• Assists with the implementation of various accounting standards and any impacts to financial statements and disclosures
• Develops a good understanding of Key’s organization and products.
• Continues to develop knowledge base on existing and emerging issues in both accounting and banking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
• 2-4 years of public accounting or financial reporting experience
• Working knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and SEC reporting guidance
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients in the lines of business and other support areas, external auditors, and other team members
• Strong oral and written communication skills
