Sales Director – Building Performance & Energy Technology
Location: UK – Remote, with occasional travel
Salary: £80 - 105k base + OTE
We're working with an established technology business that helps commercial building owners and operators improve energy efficiency, reduce operational costs and optimise building performance.
Their software brings together building data, analytics and digital technology to help organisations understand how their buildings are performing and identify opportunities for improvement.
They're looking for a Sales Director to lead UK commercial growth, combining hands-on enterprise sales with the management and development of a small sales team.
The role
- Lead and develop the UK sales team, taking ownership of pipeline development and revenue growth.
- Remain hands-on with new business, engaging directly with commercial property owners, operators and enterprise clients.
- Develop relationships with engineering consultancies, building services specialists and other strategic partners.
- Sell technical software solutions focused on building performance, energy optimisation and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with product and delivery teams to develop customer solutions and support complex sales cycles.
What we're looking for
- A strong background in enterprise sales within smart buildings, building performance software, energy management or building optimisation.
- Experience selling into commercial real estate, building owners, operators or engineering consultancies.
- A track record of winning new business and managing complex, consultative sales processes.
- Previous sales leadership experience, or a senior commercial background with experience mentoring or developing others.
- An understanding of building management systems, energy analytics, digital twins or related building technologies would be advantageous.
