Senior Python Developer (Backend )

Location: Remote Compensation: USD $4,500–$6,000 per month (The final offer is at the client’s discretion and depends on the candidate’s interview result, skills, and experience.) Industry: Ad Tech / Digital Marketing Schedule: Full-time, with meaningful overlap with U.S. Eastern Time

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Python Developer to become our first dedicated Python hire and play a foundational role in evolving our backend architecture. This person will help transition core systems from PHP to Python while working closely with an existing engineering team that is primarily PHP-based.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services using Python  
• Lead and support the migration of systems from PHP to Python  
• Design and maintain clean, scalable APIs  
• Collaborate closely with existing developers and provide technical guidance  
• Help establish Python best practices and development standards  
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve system performance  
• Document technical decisions and workflows  

Hard Skills & Technical Requirements

• 4+ years of professional Python backend development experience  
• Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI  
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend architecture  
• Experience working with databases and Git-based workflows  

Soft Skills & Collaboration

• Comfortable acting as the first Python subject-matter expert on the team  
• Clear communicator who can support and mentor other developers  
• Self-directed and comfortable taking ownership  
• Able to work collaboratively with overlapping U.S. Eastern Time hours  

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience migrating or refactoring legacy systems (PHP to Python preferred)  
• Exposure to cloud environments and deployment workflows
