About The Role The UI/UX Designer at TriWest Healthcare Alliance plays a critical role in shaping the digital experience for users across internal and external platforms. This position involves creating innovative and user-centered design solutions that align with the company's strategic goals and branding standards. The designer will be responsible for developing detailed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that enhance usability and visual appeal across various devices and interfaces. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—including business analysts, developers, and communications staff—the UI/UX Designer will analyze complex content structures, gather user requirements, and translate them into intuitive design solutions. Additionally, the role requires monitoring existing websites and portals, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing enhancements to optimize user experience and site performance. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical knowledge, creative flair, and strategic thinking to deliver compelling digital experiences that meet user needs and business objectives. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Fine Arts, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in interaction and visual design for software user interfaces within an agile development environment
  • At least 3 years of proven experience designing interactive and visual elements for mobile and web initiatives
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in designing, layout, and production of print materials
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects and solutions
  • Preferred: Experience creating sketches, information architecture maps, process flows, storyboards, and sitemaps
  • Preferred: Expertise in responsive web design and designing for mobile applications (Apple Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store)
  • Basic understanding of technical platforms such as HTML, CSS, .NET, JavaScript
  • Proficiency in prototyping tools and techniques to illustrate functionality and aesthetics
  • Knowledge of UI design best practices, trends, and accessibility standards including Section 508 compliance

Responsibilities

  • Execute and deliver high-quality creative design assets aligned with project requirements and branding guidelines
  • Design and develop wireframes, user stories, user journeys, mockups, and prototypes optimized for various devices and interfaces
  • Assist in the design and enhancement of TriWest's internal and external websites and portals, maintaining a cohesive creative vision
  • Implement strategic design and user experience principles in the development of new features and functionalities
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX issues such as responsiveness and accessibility challenges
  • Create visually engaging graphics, images, and content arrangements to deliver a seamless user experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and evaluate user requirements, ensuring designs meet business and user needs
  • Conduct layout adjustments and refinements based on user feedback and testing results
  • Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in interactive design and user experience
  • Document and disseminate UI/UX standards and best practices across teams to ensure consistency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support project and organizational goals
