Business Operations Project Manager
The hiring company is seeking a Business Operations Project Manager. This role brings execution rigor and operational discipline to the highest-priority strategic initiatives across the organization, translating business priorities into structured project plans, repeatable processes, and reliable execution. The position serves as the operational backbone for cross-functional initiatives, owning end-to-end delivery while building the documentation, workflows, and systems that enable the organization to scale. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, this role acts as an execution partner, ensuring strategic priorities translate into measurable outcomes and sustainable operational practices.
Responsibilities
Strategic Project Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of high-priority cross-functional initiatives, ensuring projects are properly scoped, planned, resourced, and executed on time in alignment with organizational goals
- Translate organizational priorities into structured execution plans, including timelines, deliverables, and success metrics
- Serve as the central coordination point for assigned initiatives, maintaining visibility into dependencies, risks, and progress across workstreams
- Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and tradeoffs, escalating decisions as needed to keep initiatives moving forward
Process Design & Documentation
- Design, develop, and document repeatable processes, workflows, and operational playbooks that allow strategic initiatives to scale beyond one-off execution
- Own continuous process improvement, ensuring workflows evolve with organizational needs and are consistently followed
- Build and maintain comprehensive documentation (SOPs, process maps, decision frameworks, templates) to create institutional knowledge and reduce execution friction
- Ensure processes are designed for scalability from the outset
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the operational point of contact for assigned initiatives, partnering with department leaders, cross-functional teams, and executive stakeholders
- Influence without direct authority, building alignment and driving accountability across teams with competing priorities
- Facilitate strong cross-functional partnerships that accelerate execution, surface blockers early, and maintain momentum on complex initiatives
- Navigate ambiguity and organizational complexity to move work forward, even as direction evolves
Operational Excellence & Visibility
- Create visibility into project health, milestone progress, and risks requiring attention or escalation
- Manage competing demands and shifting priorities in real time, ensuring effective resource allocation and transparent trade-offs
- Maintain operational discipline through structured cadences, status tracking, decision logs, and clear accountability frameworks
- Partner closely with the Director of Business Operations to ensure alignment on priorities, capacity planning, and escalation pathways
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in operations, project management, or business operations within high-growth, venture-backed, or similarly complex environments
- Proven ability to own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects in dynamic and ambiguous settings
- Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, and implementing scalable operational processes and workflows
- Strong ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in operational workflows
- Ability to analyze data and generate insights to support decision-making (experience with data tools is a plus)
- Healthcare or digital health experience is highly preferred
- Experience in startup or high-growth environments is highly preferred
- Comfortable collaborating with director-level and senior leadership

Compensation
The hiring company offers a total rewards philosophy that emphasizes fair, equitable, and competitive, location-based compensation aligned with performance and growth potential. The compensation package includes base salary, equity, benefits, and overall wellbeing support, informed by market research and organizational input.
In compliance with applicable regulations, the annual base salary range for this role is $100,000 – $110,000.
