Junior Data Operations Analyst
Job Description
Posted on: May 2, 2026
When a company grows too fast for its internal systems, data starts to leak and reporting breaks. This role is about closing those gaps and making sure information flows exactly where it needs to go to keep a business running smoothly. About The Role The Junior Data Operations Analyst is a central part of our delivery team at Tech Pipeline. We work with clients who are stuck in what we call the awkward middle, a phase where their data is siloed and their reporting requires hours of manual work. In this role, you will help us bridge those gaps by working directly within the software tools our clients use every day. You are not here to build abstract strategies or presentations. You are here to look at the internal plumbing of a business, find where the information is getting stuck, and help us fix the connection. You will provide the necessary support to ensure that the solutions we build are accurate, reliable, and easy for the client to maintain long after our project is finished. What You Will Do Your primary responsibility is to ensure that data flows cleanly through every system it touches. You will spend a significant portion of your time performing data audits where you look for duplicates, formatting errors, or missing information that could skew a final report. Once the data is clean, you will assist in setting up the logic that moves that information between different platforms. This might involve configuring a CRM to automatically update a project management tool or setting up triggers that alert a team when a specific task is completed. You will also be responsible for documenting these new processes. We believe that a fix is only temporary if nobody knows how it works, so you will write clear and concise guides that explain the new workflows to the people who use them. You will also participate in testing these new setups to make sure they hold up under different scenarios before they go live on a client account. What We Are Looking For
- A natural curiosity for how digital tools talk to each other and a desire to understand the logic behind a workflow.
- A disciplined approach to data entry and analysis, showing that you can handle large datasets without losing focus.
- Basic experience with spreadsheet software like Google Sheets or Excel, including the ability to use lookups and logical formulas.
- Strong communication skills, specifically the ability to write instructions that are easy for others to follow.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule in a fully remote environment.
- A preference for fixing problems at the source rather than applying temporary patches that will break later.
- An interest in business operations and how companies use technology to manage their day to day work.
What The Role Offers This position provides a deep dive into the practical side of data operations and systems configuration. You will have the chance to work across a variety of different industries and see firsthand how different types of companies solve their internal problems. We are a fully remote team, so you have the flexibility to work from wherever you are most productive. We believe in providing our team with the autonomy they need to do their best work without being micromanaged. You will receive mentorship from experienced operators who have spent years fixing complex business systems. Beyond the technical skills, you will learn how to approach problems with a systems thinking mindset, which is a valuable asset in any career path. We focus on results and clear communication, keeping our internal processes as streamlined as the ones we build for our clients. How We Work Tech Pipeline is built for companies that have outgrown their original setups and need someone to come in and fix the internal plumbing. We are a team of specialists who care about removing the manual friction that slows companies down. We do not focus on flashy talk or theoretical frameworks. We focus on rewriting SOPs, removing messy spreadsheets, and making sure that the tools a company already owns are actually doing the job they were designed for. We value clarity and honesty in everything we do. If a system is broken, we say it is broken and then we find a way to fix it properly. We trust our people to own their work and to communicate clearly when they hit a roadblock. This is a place where small improvements lead to major changes in how a company operates, and we take pride in seeing our clients return to a steady state where they can focus on their actual work instead of fighting their own data.
