Role Description

We are currently seeking a Partnerships & Business Affairs Manager to support our talent team by managing contract negotiations, deal structuring, and licensing terms while also helping strengthen brand relationships and campaign opportunities.

This role sits at the intersection of brand partnerships and contract negotiations and will work closely with talent managers to streamline deal flow and ensure creator agreements are structured strategically and efficiently.

This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate will be able to step in quickly, contribute to deal flow and partnership growth, and support the agency’s revenue goals while maintaining the high-touch, collaborative culture Lilac is known for.

Experience & Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of experience in business affairs (entertainment/influencer contracts), contracts management, influencer marketing, or brand partnerships

• Experience reviewing and negotiating influencer or entertainment agreements

• Strong understanding of licensing, usage rights, exclusivity, and paid media terms

• Familiarity with influencer marketing campaigns and creator partnerships

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and contract management skills

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with talent managers and brand partners

• Experience within a talent agency, influencer marketing agency, entertainment company, or creator economy platform is strongly preferred

ResponsibilitiesBusiness Affairs (primary)

• Review, redline, and negotiate influencer marketing agreements and brand partnership contracts

• Negotiate licensing terms including organic usage, paid media usage, and whitelisting

• Review exclusivity clauses and brand category restrictions

• Advise talent managers on deal structure and contract language

• Ensure creator rights and intellectual property ownership are protected

• Manage contract workflows including revisions, approvals, and final signatures

• Develop standardized contract language and creator addendums to streamline negotiations

Partnership Support (secondary)

• Assist talent managers in structuring multi-creator campaigns and brand partnerships

• Support bundled campaign opportunities across the Lilac talent roster

• Maintain relationships with brand marketing teams, agencies, and influencer marketing contacts

• Identify opportunities to expand partnerships with brands already working with Lilac creators

Required

  • Proven experience managing negotiating brand partnerships independently
  • Experience in managing large brand deals of over 6 figures
  • Strong understanding of influencer contracts, usage, licensing, and deliverables
  • Confident, professional communicator who is both people-focused and results-driven
  • Highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment

Bonus Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Existing relationships with brand marketing teams, PR agencies, media buyers, or industry partners
  • Ability to introduce or bring brand relationships and partnership opportunities to the agency
  • Experience negotiating influencer marketing campaigns within the beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or wellness verticals
  • Background in partnerships, brand marketing, talent management, influencer marketing, or business affairs
  • Bilingual (Spanish-speaking is a plus)
  • Based in Arizona, Nevada, or Texas preferred, though candidates must reside within the United States
  • Familiarity with creator economy tools and workflow platforms such as Trello, Slack, Gmail Suite, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
  • Strong understanding of influencer contracts, usage rights, exclusivity clauses, and brand partnership structures

What you'll do

  • Lead brand partnership negotiations across the agency’s roster of digital creators
  • Own the deal lifecycle end-to-end, including reviewing briefs, negotiating rates and terms, redlining contracts, confirming usage rights, exclusivity terms, licensing, and payment schedules
  • Work closely with Talent Managers to structure partnerships that align with each creator’s brand, long-term strategy, and revenue goals
  • Oversee business affairs for brand deals, ensuring contracts protect creator rights while maximizing revenue opportunities
  • Manage all partnership documentation, contracts, and deal terms to ensure compliance and clarity across campaigns (80+ contracts a month)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners, PR agencies, media buyers, and marketing teams
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities across beauty, fashion, lifestyle, and wellness verticals
  • Support the internal team with contract guidance, deal structuring, and negotiations strategy
  • Track partnership pipeline and deal flow to support overall agency revenue growth
  • Attend brand meetings, industry events, and partnership conversations as needed (travel reimbursed)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Lilac team to ensure campaigns are executed smoothly and according to agreed terms

Compensation

  • $33-$35/hour, non-exempt, hourly (Part-Time), depending on experience.
  • 24 hours per week with occasional additional hours depending on work week | Tuesday–Friday (6 hours per day), open to working same time as everyone 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM MST / 9:00am-3:00pm PST

Training Period: During the initial onboarding period, hours will be lighter while the candidate is trained on internal systems, processes, and workflows. This will typically involve approximately 2–3 hours per day for the first several weeks, gradually increasing as the candidate becomes fully integrated into the role.
