Learn more about working with us at topconcareers.com TopconPositioning UK is looking for a motivated and committed Sales Account Manager Construction – UKJob location: United Kingdom ( remote) with availability to travel for business purpose up to 80% of working hours ( 4 days per week ) Job Description The Sales Account Manager, reporting to the respective regional Manager of Topcon, and is responsible for executing Topcon's sales business in the area of responsibility to achieve its goals. The role is responsible for leading our distribution sales efforts in (in the area of responsibility) as well as our dealers The jobholder will be responsible for managing relationships with our direct customers and distribution partners, developing and implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring our products are effectively distributed in the market. Core Duties

  • The selected candiadte will be Responsible for sales revenues in collaboration with Sales Management.
  • The successful candidate will work effectively in a collaborative team environment, will be detail oriented, quality focused, feel comfortable in a high energy, flexible, dynamic and fast-moving business.
  • Direct Sales of our products as well as managing relationships with distribution partners, including regular communication and training to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Support our existing customers as well as to establish new customers to ensure their success in promoting and selling our products.
  • To become the primary technical contact point and sales support for our dealers, operating in increasing autonomy; as well as to consult with our customers in all technical matters including support on project coordination.
  • To develop the technical expertise of our distribution partners on Topcon Hardware and Software products and on the different technologies applied to the relevant market which includes assisting the dealers’ sales force in presentations to end customers, when necessary; Carry out, if necessary, tests and checks of the hardware and software on board the operating machines, assisting the remote technical service.
  • To analyze customer base and actively look for possibilities to upsell and cross-sell to existing customers.
  • To prepare offers incl. calculations and independent contract negotiations and contract conclusion.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to develop sales materials, presentations, and proposals.
  • To execute customer events, presentations, demos and trainings as well as participation at trade fairs and road shows.
  • Market observation in regards to products, competition and trends including identifying new sales opportunities in own areas of responsibility including lead generation, prospecting, sales calls, and closing deals.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process in own area of responsibility to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing sales activities.
  • Other tasks & projects as assigned.

Education And Experience

  • Degree in Civil/Building/Electronic Engineering and/or diploma of Surveyor/Electronic Expert/ Engineering background with practical knowledge
  • 5+ years' experience in business development, sales or account management within the construction or heavy equipment industry (machine control, survey, civil engineering, plant or OEM supply chain preferred)
  • Proven success in developing new markets or territories, building partner networks, and achieving measurable sales growth
  • Demonstrated experience working with OEMs, distributors or rental partners, ideally within a technical product or solution environment
  • Track record of managing complex B2B sales cycles, including prospecting, negotiation and closing
  • Solid understanding of construction site operations and technology adoption challenges (data workflows, machine productivity, automation)
  • B Driving License
  • Knowledge of the English language on conversational level

Knowledge, Skills, And Attributes

  • Track record of managing internal relationships and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change and change management efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve.
  • Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at a variety of levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations.
  • Advanced skills in putting clear strategy on paper (e.g. by using PowerPoint) a must.
  • Good leadership skills
  • Preferential qualifications will be: technical knowledge of construction site processes and machines; technical knowledge of earthmoving and/or road machinery, topography processes.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region up to 80% of working time
