Freelance Illustrator – Nature Trading Cards

This role involves creating custom, nature-themed trading card illustrations designed to inspire children to explore and appreciate the outdoors. The cards should be visually engaging, digitally rendered, and suitable for print, with a style reminiscent of popular collectible cards. You will work from provided rough drafts and concepts, elevating them into polished, high-quality artwork that appeals to young audiences. The position is remote and offers the potential for ongoing collaboration on future projects. Deliverables

• Design and illustrate a series of custom nature-themed trading cards for children
• Transform rough draft concepts into vibrant, print-ready digital artwork
• Ensure all illustrations are suitable for high-quality printing and consistent with the brand’s visual identity
• Collaborate remotely to refine concepts and incorporate feedback
• Prepare final files in required formats for production and distribution

Requirements

• Proven experience as an illustrator, with a strong portfolio of digital artwork for children’s products or similar projects
• Proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate
• Ability to interpret and enhance provided concepts, adding creativity and visual appeal
• Understanding of print production requirements and file preparation
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness to feedback
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Availability for remote collaboration; based in Australia is a plus but not required
