Social Media Manager – Remote Contract

This role is ideal for a social media professional with a passion for niche markets and a keen understanding of ethical, environmentally conscious brands. The position focuses on managing and growing the online presence of a specialized taxidermy exchange, known for its curated, ethical pieces and appeal to both home collectors and interior designers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand the audience, increase engagement, and clearly communicate the brand’s upscale and ethical positioning within the e-commerce space. Flexibility is key, as there are no fixed deadlines and the company values expert input on the best path forward. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy tailored to a niche, environmentally conscious audience.
• Manage daily operations of social media accounts, including content planning, posting, and community engagement.
• Create compelling, brand-aligned content that highlights ethical sourcing and the unique value proposition of the exchange.
• Monitor analytics to track growth, engagement, and campaign effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging aligns with brand values and appeals to both collectors and interior designers.
• Stay informed on trends in ethical e-commerce, taxidermy, and social media best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience managing social media for niche or e-commerce brands, preferably with a focus on ethical or environmentally conscious products.
• Strong content creation skills, including copywriting, visual storytelling, and basic graphic design.
• Proficiency with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) and relevant analytics tools.
• Ability to develop and execute strategies that drive audience growth and engagement.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
