Job Description The Project Manager will be a liaison between our Managed Service Partners and internal operational teams, (Sales and Marketing, Product, Engineering and Operations) for Cisco Provider Mobility as a Service customer. The person in this role will manage the delivery SaaS solutions that includes Cloud based Control Center service platform, the wireless core and the edge enabling our Partner Operators to quickly go to market. Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for Management and Delivery of solution that includes Cloud deployment of Control Center platform, wireless core, and edges with Cisco partners.
- Must work cross-functionally to establish good and trusted relationships with both internal and external customer teams
- Clarify all technical design details and manage any design and delivery escalation issues.
- Work closely with key operator staff throughout the delivery process to resolve any issues blocking a successful outcome for a signed agreement.
- Understand all technical steps required for implementation and launch and develop / manage a mutually agreed upon delivery plan.
- Identify issues and work with the Product and SW Development teams to prioritize and eliminate them in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Product to capture requirements from our MSPs and communicate clearly and efficiently to the relevant functional teams.
- Responsible for the delivery of all implementations with signed Partners and for the transition to the operational teams including Support and Solutions Engineering team.
- Maintain technical proficiency on all aspects of the solution, including product capabilities, features, and planned enhancements.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor degree of Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent work experience (advanced degree preferred).
- PMP or Master degree of IT Project Management preferred
- Successful Project Management experience in a customer environment.
- Prior Telecommunications management experience required
- Experience in M2M/ connected devices desired.
- Ability to work independently and within tight deadlines.
- Experience working with multi-national entities remotely, leveraging conferencing tools such as WebEx to coordinate virtual meetings.
- 10+ years of GSM / GPRS experience in a technical capacity
- Knowledge of GSM / GPRS core network architecture, IP switching and routing concepts, firewalls preferred
- Superior analytical, communication, presentation and customer interfacing skills.
- Superior communication skills required.
- Language skills are a plus, with Japanese/ Cantonese/Mandarin and/or Spanish/Portuguese languages desirable.
- Working knowledge of typical desktop software: MS Office, Power Point, Excel, Visio, MS Project.
