About The Role We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to lead our social media content strategy and channel management for Nex Playground. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Marketing Communication, social strategists, and agency partners to craft compelling stories that resonate with our audience across multiple platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. Your primary responsibility will be to bring the Nex brand to life through engaging cultural storytelling, community engagement, and innovative content creation. You will be instrumental in growing our online presence, fostering authentic interactions, and positioning Nex as a leader in active family entertainment. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of social media trends, platform nuances, and audience behavior, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering impactful results. Your efforts will directly influence brand awareness, community growth, and the overall success of Nex’s digital outreach initiatives. Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of social media or content marketing experience, preferably in consumer products, lifestyle, family, or technology sectors
  • Proven track record of creating engaging, original social content, especially short-form videos such as Reels, TikTok videos, and YouTube Shorts
  • Proficiency with creative tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, or similar
  • Exceptional writing and captioning skills, with an ability to adapt tone and messaging to different platforms and audiences
  • Deep understanding of social media platform algorithms, trends, and best practices
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and incorporating feedback effectively
  • US-based with flexibility for occasional travel to team offsites or content creation locations

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy tailored to each social platform, aligning with brand goals and cultural trends
  • Conceptualize, brief, produce, and edit engaging content that captures gameplay, family moments, IP collaborations, and product experiences
  • Manage end-to-end social media presence, including scheduling, publishing, moderation, and performance analysis
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all channels
  • Engage actively with the community by participating in relevant conversations and cultural moments
  • Stay current with internet and platform trends to produce timely, native content that expands reach and relevance
  • Write compelling captions and copy tailored to each platform and audience
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and design teams on campaign launches and brand initiatives
  • Monitor analytics and performance metrics to optimize content strategies and report on key insights
