About the role

Angove Partners is working with a market-leading provider of specialty insurance solutions, offering innovative risk management services tailored to complex client needs. They are expanding their team and seeking a Tax Big 4 Associate to transition to a Broking position to support a growing portfolio.

As a Tax Broker, you will assess and advise on tax risk policies for a range of transactions, working closely with carriers, legal professionals, and clients to structure tailored insurance solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional (3+ years) looking to transition into a dynamic Broking role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess tax risks associated with M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, and other financial arrangements
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of tax opinions, legal documentation, and financial statements to evaluate risk exposure
  • Collaborate with brokers, legal counsel, and internal teams to structure and price tax liability insurance policies
  • Monitor market trends, legislative changes, and case law developments to ensure informed underwriting decisions
  • Assist in negotiating policy terms and conditions with brokers and clients
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including law firms, tax advisors, and insurers
  • Support senior underwriters in growing their tax insurance portfolio

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience, 3+ years in tax from private practice, Big 4, or an in-house tax role
  • Strong understanding of tax legislation, risk assessment, and structuring of transactions
  • Ability to evaluate complex tax positions and identify key risks
  • Interest in financial markets and the insurance sector
  • Strong ability to explain technical tax issues to non-specialists
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work independently
  • This position is remote but there is a preference for an East Coast based candidate
