Book Metrics Financial is looking for an exceptional and highly reliable Senior BAS & Client Delivery Manager to join our growing remote team supporting Australian business clients.
This is a senior operational role within the business, this is not a standard bookkeeping position.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, emotionally intelligent, highly communicative, and capable of overseeing client delivery, compliance workflows, and team accountability in a fast-moving remote environment.
The right person will help ensure our clients receive exceptional service while supporting the ongoing growth, structure, and operational consistency of the business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, ownership, communication, systems improvement, and supporting both clients and team members at a high level.
About the Role
This role combines:
- Client delivery oversight
- BAS/payroll/compliance management
- Workflow coordination

You will work closely with the Director and wider remote team to ensure workflows are completed accurately, deadlines are met consistently, and communication remains proactive across the business.
Core ResponsibilitiesTeam & Workflow Oversight
- Oversee workflow and delivery across a small remote bookkeeping team
- Ensure client deadlines and deliverables are completed accurately and on time
- Monitor task management systems and workflow progress
- Follow up outstanding items with team members and contractors
- Support accountability and consistency across the team
- Assist with improving internal systems and operational processes
- Step in to support operational workload when team members are away
Compliance & BAS Responsibilities
- Manage BAS Agent responsibilities and ATO client communication
- Handle ATO queries and correspondence on behalf of clients
- Review compliance due dates and workflow settings within XPM
- Review and lodge STP weekly
- Process payroll for regular clients
- Support and oversee client transition to weekly superannuation requirements and automated super processes
Client Delivery & Communication
- Maintain oversight of a smaller portfolio of clients
- Ensure a high standard of communication and responsiveness
- Participate in weekly operational meetings with the Director
- Assist with bi-weekly client communication reviews and workflow discussions
- Support pricing, proposals, and onboarding processes over time
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- Registered BAS Agent
- Strong Xero experience
- Strong Australian payroll, BAS, STP, and compliance knowledge
- Experience managing recurring deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and workflow management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and proactively
