HR & Sponsor Compliance Consultant

This is a flexible, remote, portfolio-based consultancy opportunity, combining practical HR expertise with UKVI sponsor compliance.
Work remotely. Build your own client portfolio. Develop specialist expertise. Work directly with UK and international businesses, with the support and infrastructure of ClearPath behind you.
We’re particularly interested in experienced HR professionals with exposure to sponsor licence compliance, right to work or sponsored worker processes. Strong HR professionals interested in developing further in this area are also encouraged to apply.
The Opportunity
You’ll support a developing portfolio of ClearPath clients, working directly with business owners and senior leaders.
Your work may include:
- HR and sponsor compliance support
- Right to work and employee record processes
- Absence and workforce monitoring
- Internal sponsor compliance reviews
- Identifying and addressing potential compliance risks
- Supporting businesses to prepare for Home Office compliance activity
- Advising directors and senior stakeholders on good HR and sponsor compliance practice
- Where appropriate, taking on genuine client-side sponsor compliance responsibilities, including Authorising Officer and/or Key Contact appointments
This isn’t a high-volume HR administration role. We’re looking for professionals who enjoy ownership, autonomy and building trusted client relationships.
Remuneration
Client appointments are typically remunerated at £400-£700 per month, per client appointment, depending on the scope and level of responsibility.
This is a portfolio-based opportunity rather than a guaranteed-hours role. The number and timing of appointments will depend on client requirements, experience and suitability for each assignment.
We’d love to hear from you if you…
- Have strong practical experience in HR, People, employee relations, workforce compliance or a related field
- Have sponsor compliance, right to work or sponsored worker experience, or a strong interest in developing further expertise
- Are confident working directly with directors and senior leaders
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Are highly organised and comfortable managing client relationships
- Have the professional confidence to challenge when something doesn’t look right
- Enjoy working independently and taking ownership
A CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience would be advantageous.
Previous experience as an Authorising Officer, Key Contact or Level 1 User, or otherwise working directly with sponsor licence compliance, would be particularly welcomed.
