About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced operator to own our nationwide Costco Road Shows program end-to-end. You’ll plan, launch, and scale high-impact, member-facing events that drive trial, brand awareness, and revenue—all while ensuring flawless compliance with Costco guidelines and an excellent member experience.
What You’ll Do
- Own the Road Show calendar: secure dates, coordinate with Costco Road Show Program Office & Warehouse Managers, and optimize market mix and seasonality.
- Plan & execute events: booth layouts, visual merchandising, demos/sampling, signage, and onsite standards.
- Staffing & training: recruit, schedule, onboard, and lead brand ambassadors/demo staff; build playbooks and SOPs.
- Inventory & logistics: forecast demand; coordinate production, pick/pack, and freight; manage on-hand and returns.
- Budget & P&L: set targets, manage event budgets, negotiate vendor rates, and track margins.
- Compliance & safety: ensure adherence to Costco policies (permits, food safety, sampling rules, insurance).
- Reporting & insights: daily sales roll-ups, KPI dashboards, and post-event readouts with clear recommendations.
- Cross-functional leadership: partner with Sales, Ops, and Marketing to align promos, pricing, and creative.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years managing large-scale retail events, field marketing, or experiential programs (Costco, Sam’s, BJ’s, or big-box experience strongly preferred).
- Proven success owning multi-market calendars, budgets, staffing, and vendor relationships.
- Strong operations mindset: forecasting, logistics, and problem-solving under time pressure.
- Data fluency (Excel/Google Sheets); comfortable with CRM/reporting tools.
- Clear, professional communication with executive presence and on-floor leadership.
- Willingness to travel 50–70% (including some evenings/weekends); valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift/move up to 40–50 lbs as needed for booth setups.
Nice to Have
- Experience with demo/sampling operations and food safety protocols.
- Familiarity with Costco Road Show processes and documentation.
- Event staffing networks across major U.S. metros.
