We deliver intelligent AI-powered software applications and insights needed to accelerate electrification and decarbonization across the energy ecosystem. Our portfolio of software help utilities, manufacturers and energy companies' delivery greater energy efficiently and reliably. As Senior Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business and expanding existing customer relationships within the manufacturing software market. You’ll identify customer needs, develop tailored software solutions, and lead the full sales cycle — from discovery and strategy to contract negotiation and deal closure. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping growth for GE Vernova Electrification Software across the DACH region. Please note: GE Vernova and TPG, a leading global alternative asset management firm, recently announced the signing of an agreement confirming TPG’s intent to acquire GE Vernova’s Proficy® manufacturing software business. The proposed transaction is subject to information and consultation with employee representatives and other customary closing conditions, including certain regulatory approvals, and is expected to close in the first half of 2026. Minimum salary is 60,000 EUR gross per year – the actual salary depends on qualifications and experience. ResponsibilitiesJob Description

  • Drive key activities, including strategy planning, customer relationship development, discovery assessment, solution definition, contract negotiation until deal closure
  • Work closely with the other staff members in GE Vernova Electrification Software (MFG) to drive and lead growth in software license, service and support revenue generation
  • Establish a deep understanding of customers’ business needs by creating value to customers for our solution footprint
  • Add value to the customer’s business and maintain a value-oriented approach to the business partnership.
  • Demonstrate to customers how they benefit by partnering with GE Vernova Electrification Software (MFG) and how our solutions deliver results.
  • Proactively develop and drive a sustainable commercial relationship aligned with the agreed commercial strategy.
  • Grow the sales pipeline and maintains an array of opportunities to ensure that sales goals are achieved.
  • Actively grow and maintain multi-year Account plans that will be shared globally with parts of our business including Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Professional Services, and the Development teams to ensure coordination across the business.
  • Ensure a Professional Sales Experience for customers during all aspects of sales process and touch points including: Formal meeting agendas, formal follow-up stating sequence of events and next steps in writing, and issue resolution in a timely fashion.
  • Formulates the winning proposals based on a cohesive strategy that leverages deep knowledge of industry, customer and GE Vernova Electrification Software (MFG) product portfolio.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in industrial software or enterprise sales.
  • Strong background in developing and closing complex, long-cycle B2B enterprise deals across multiple stakeholders and decision levels.
  • Successful experience selling Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, MOM, or related industrial / digital manufacturing software solutions.
  • Solid understanding of production processes, manufacturing IT, and digital transformation within industries such as Automotive, Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, or Discrete Manufacturing.
  • Experience with software licensing models for MES, SCADA, or related industrial software solutions, including multi-year and enterprise-level commercial agreements.
  • Proven ability to build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, develop multi-year account plans, and drive sustainable account growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets and develop long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate business value and ROI at executive level.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; fluency in German would be a plus
  • High level of self-motivation, resilience, and a consultative mindset with a passion for industrial digitalization.
