Position: Short Story Writer

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $100–$150/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: 6–8 weeks (with potential extension)

Commitment: 10–20 hours/week, fully remote and asynchronous

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

• Develop and refine original short story content to train AI models.
• Critically assess AI-generated stories for creativity, pacing, and coherence.
• Apply strong knowledge of narrative structure, character development, and style.
• Provide editing, critique, and constructive feedback to enhance AI content output.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers to align literary artistry with technical development.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience writing and publishing short stories.
• Strong portfolio of published work in literary journals, anthologies, or digital platforms.
• Deep understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and voice.
• Excellent critique and editorial skills.
• Background or advanced degree in creative writing, literature, or related field is a plus.
