Yapper (yapper.so) is an AI video and image generation platform. We bring the best models — Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, Google Omni, Nano Banana Pro — into one creative suite for creators, filmmakers, and businesses. $2M in revenue in our first year, now growing 30% month over month. 400K+ active users, 10B+ views generated. We are bootstrapped, profitable, & plan to keep it that way.

Several companies we draw inspiration from are Midjourney, Canva, Apple, Spotify, and Figma.
The role
You own design at Yapper: product design, UI/UX, and brand identity across web, mobile, and marketing (YouTube, X, paid ads). No design layer above or below you. No part of the business is out of scope. You set the bar, build our unified design system & identity, and ship — working alongside the founders.
What you'll do
- Own the product experience end to end: onboarding flows, information architecture, AI agent & generative model interaction, create tool interaction, and UI polish
- Own the brand: identity, visual system, site, and creative direction for visual assets for our X account, YouTube channel, and paid ads
- Build and maintain the design system across product and platforms
- Ship constantly, in a tight loop with engineering, real usage data, and customer interactions
Who you are
- Equally strong in UX and UI. You make complex tools feel simple, and they look exceptional.
- High agency. You find the problem, decide, and ship without waiting for a brief.
- Excellent & opinionated design taste.
- Your portfolio & past work speaks for itself. This is your resume.
- Likely running your own studio, doing high-end solo contract work, or the best designer on your team — and ready to go all-in on one thing and have real ownership of a fast growing product.
- Ambitious. You want to push the boundary of what you consider “your best work.”
- You can express your ideas fluently in Figma. You've likely assembled your own toolkit beyond it. Ideally you've used Claude Code or Codex to prototype your designs.
- Bonus: motion design, video editing, fluency with AI creative tools like image and video models.
Who you'll work with
Two co-founders. The CEO is on his third company after exiting the first two, a Harvard CS grad, and has driven over a billion attributed views for Yapper. The CTO is a University of Toronto CS grad who ran a design-engineering and branding agency for several years, building brand identity and landing pages for NASDAQ-listed companies and $100M+ startups.
You'll work most closely with the CTO. He's an accomplished designer, and you should be able to do things he can't. That's the point of this hire.
Compensation
Up to $200K USD salary, plus up to 2% equity. Founding-team level ownership in a fast growing company.
Logistics
Any time zone. The team works in US Pacific and Eastern.
