Looking for 3-6 years of experienceDetails from intake call:Manager is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist, but more focused on the Admin side. Someone detail oriented to assist with investigations, take notes, handle data in Excel and Smartsheet, and sit in on interviews. This person will be assisting the team in whatever may need to be done. They really want someone with around 3 years of experience in HR or even from a PMO background.Duration: 3+ MonthsPay rate: $35-$48.00/hrLocation: NYC - Remote

The Employee Relations Specialist role is a key member of the Human Resources (HR) team responsible for partnering with HRBP's and the Employee Relations Lead. The role will also focus on managing and facilitating effective employee relations within an organization. The role involves ensuring compliance with employment laws, company policies, and promoting a positive work environment. The ER Specialist serves as a point of contact for employees and management, providing guidance, support, and resolution on all Employee Relations matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a contact for employees on employee relations matters.

• Provide guidance and support on company policies, employment laws both federal and state, and best practices related to employee relations.

• Assist the ER Lead with Investigating and resolving ER issues.

• Ensure compliance with applicable employment state laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and ensure policy adherence in all HR operations with a focus on employee relations.

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including documentation of investigations, performance improvement plans and resolutions.

• Prepare and analyze reports and metrics related to Employee Relations

• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to legal requirements for employee-related matters, such as disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and terminations.

• Assist with coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations issues including but not limited to performance, conduct, policy violations, leave protocol with partnership with benefits.

• Participate in projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

• 3 plus years of HR experience preferably in an Employee Relations role, or HRBP role

• Working knowledge of state, federal law, employment, leave, privacy and compliance laws

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Workday

• Strong time management, strategic thinking, planning and prioritization skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
