Electrify Video Partners is a dynamic new digital media company that invests in and scales creators with an established YouTube presence. Our mission is to turn creators into global media businesses by building teams, scaling the production and distribution of their content and introducing new revenue streams across platforms. We acquire between 50% and 100% of creator businesses. We have raised multiple funding rounds and have invested in a variety of leading channels, including Veritasium, Mentour Pilot, Simple History, Astrum & Astrum Earth, and Fern.

About the role

The Group Financial Controller is a pivotal new position created due to the company’s recent growth. You will be reporting directly to the CFO, overseeing all aspects of the finance function, including FinOps and FP&A of a groundbreaking and fast-growing business at the forefront of the revolution in the digital economy. You will be given the support and resources to scale and develop a world-class finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• All financial operations, including AR, AP, and Treasury
• Managing finance teams across UK, US and Netherlands
• Leading the delivery of insightful management reports and KPIs
• Ultimate responsibility for the monthly financial statements
• Monitoring cashflow and forecasting
• Managing budgeting and forecasting processes
• Implementing and improving group finance systems
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Leading and owning the annual audit process
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide financial insights
• Supporting acquisition due diligence and integrations

Skills and experience

• A professional accounting certification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• At least 5 years post-qualification experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience in managing teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience in a buy & build environment
• Experience in a PE-backed or rapidly scaling environment

Desirable

• Experience of managing financial reporting of US and European subsidiaries
• Experience in the digital content or media sector (ideally YouTube).
• Experience mentoring junior team members
