This role

Our Operations function plays a vital role in accelerating our company velocity. Acting as the strategic backbone of the organisation, it enables all business units to execute efficiently and scale globally, leading on: strategy & execution alignment, process optimisation and automation, data infrastructure and insights, system ownership and tech stack integration, planning and forecasting, hiring and enabling exceptional talent, and project and program management.

As the Chief of Staff to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll serve as an operational right hand - translating strategy into results and amplifying the Ops team's impact across the business.

There are five critical focus areas to the this role

  1. Amplify the impact of the COO, enabling them to consistently operate at maximum leverage
  2. Translate our business strategy into clear executional momentum across all departments
  3. Accurately represent the COO’s views in their absence, allowing them to extend their presence
  4. Enabling the Ops team to become an increasingly known force multiplier across the business
  5. Be a highly trusted collaborator to the COO, acting as a thought partner and supporting their key decisions

This will include

Strategic Operations & Priority Execution

  • Act as the connector and enabler across the Operational Leadership Team—ensuring alignment, visibility, and rapid momentum on top priorities.
  • Stay deeply embedded in the Ops group’s strategic priorities, proactively tracking progress and driving follow-up actions—without the need for prompting or oversight.
  • Create AI-generated roll-up summaries and initiative snapshots to speed up information flow and reduce content burden for the COO and Leadership Team.

Executive & Team Enablement

  • Provide administrative and coordination support across key functions—owning offsite planning, board pack prep, meeting agendas, follow-ups, and operating rhythms.
  • Serve as a flexible operator—able to parachute into functions to unblock execution, fill critical gaps (e.g. parental leave), or accelerate delivery.

Program & Project Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional strategic projects across the Operational group, including M&A initiatives, business integrations, critical OKRs, and quarterly themes.
  • Ensure projects are scoped, resourced, tracked, and executed on time, with measurable business impact and cross-team alignment.

Strategic Planning & Execution Cadence

  • Support the end-to-end strategic planning process, ensuring clear connection between global goals, regional plans, and functional OKRs.
  • Facilitate seamless coordination between Ops leaders to enable execution against EH’s growth targets and BHAG.

Communications & Engagement

  • Own internal comms and engagement initiatives across the broader Ops group, driving team cohesion and clarity through All Hands, newsletters, video messages, and leadership content.
  • Partner with the COO to craft compelling narratives, messaging, and updates that rally the team around our mission and priorities.

AI-First Transformation

  • Champion and support EH’s continued evolution to becoming the most AI-first company in market - identifying opportunities for AI adoption within Ops, streamlining workflows, and embedding automation into how we operate.

Who you are

  • 6+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or chief of staff roles
  • Proven track record of driving business-critical initiatives from idea through to execution
  • A strong analytical mindset with proven skills in data-driven decision-making, financial literacy and the ability to interpret P&Ls and budgets
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to be highly effective in an asynchronous setup
  • Able to navigate complexity, ambiguity and high change
  • Exceptional business acumen and structured problem-solving skills
  • Strong data fluency and comfort working with analytics, dashboards, and tooling ecosystems (e.g. Confluence, Atlas, Salesforce, Looker, Notion)
  • Humility, hunger to succeed, and a passion for constant iteration and improvement
