Job Description

Selling cloud and AI engineering with agents every day: from Portugal to Europe and the Gulf.

How we sell here

The commercial machine already exists. It was built from scratch, it brought in the 150+ clients we have today, and it has never had anyone full-time tuning it. That is where you come in: you sell, and while you sell you turn what already exists into something that holds up across three markets at once. Account research, meeting prep, notes and first follow-up drafts run in workflows you build and supervise, the same way engineering works with agents every day.

Most commercial roles that mention AI mean a tool that writes cold emails. Here the bar is workflows that run without you. One person covering Portugal, Europe and the Gulf only works if account research, meeting prep, call notes, CRM hygiene and the first draft of every follow-up are already handed to something you built and now supervise.

So we are not going to ask whether you use Claude. We are going to ask what runs without you, how often, and where you moved from doing to reviewing. In the interview we ask you to show it, just as we ask the engineers.

What you will do

  • New accounts, end to end. You prospect, qualify, propose, negotiate and close. There is no SDR ahead of you and no queue of marketing leads waiting to be worked.
  • The AWS channel as a real source of pipeline. The partnership is active and we already co-sell with AWS account teams. You inherit that channel and make it produce, in Portugal, in Europe and in the Gulf.
  • Three markets in parallel. Portugal is where your network already is. Europe and the Gulf are where the growth is, the latter out of the Riyadh office and with founder-level support opening the first doors.
  • Tuning the machine. ICP per market, qualification criteria, pipeline stages, proposal and pricing model, weekly forecast, and a CRM that mirrors what is actually happening.
  • Growing the installed base. 150+ clients who already trust our engineering are the cheapest revenue in the house. It is not the main job, it is the job it would be foolish to ignore.

You

  • You sell services, not licences. You know how an engineering project is priced, where the margin sits, and what happens when delivery risk meets a fixed price.
  • Cloud in hand, AWS preferred. Managed services, migrations, engineering projects. And you have worked a hyperscaler partner channel: co-sell with account teams, migration funding programs, private offers in Marketplace. You fed the channel and did not only take from it.
  • A real network in Portugal, at CTO, CIO, Head of Engineering and COO level. On day 1 you can say which calls you can book and why those people pick up.
  • You have opened something from zero, with no contacts to start from: a territory, a vertical, a service line. An example in Portugal counts. A vague example does not.
  • You have carried a number and hit it, and you talk about the last three years with figures: quota, attainment, average deal size, cycle length. And you fill your own pipeline. If it always arrived from marketing and referrals, this role is not for you and it will show by month four.
  • Portuguese and English, both fluent. English is non-negotiable for Europe, the Gulf and any conversation with an AWS account team. Portuguese native or fluent, because that is the language the relationships you will live on here are built in.

Bonus points

Having sold outside Portugal · network or experience in the Gulf · AI or data projects sold into production · having been someone first sales hire · a boutique or scale-up track record rather than only large vendors · Arabic.

What you get

  • An AWS channel that already works. You are not starting the partnership from zero, you take one that exists and turn it into pipeline.
  • 11 years in production, 8 of them on AWS, and 150+ clients as references to take into any meeting. In most rooms, Flipkick has been running AWS longer than the company on the other side of the table.
  • Autonomy. You define the process, choose the ICP and set the pricing. No layers above, no committee, decisions in days.
  • Claude credits to experiment with, and paid Anthropic and AWS certifications.
  • International from day 1, with the Riyadh office behind the Gulf operation.

Team

A senior engineering team that has been delivering for 11 years and works with agents every day. You will sit with CTOs without needing to bring an engineer along, and the whole team is one message away when the conversation gets technical. What we learn circulates in a weekly show-and-tell we take seriously. And you decide when the next sales hires arrive and who they are.

Location

  • Remote-first in Portugal, with a preference for people in Porto or within travelling distance. The team meets in person in Porto twice a month. Offices in Porto and Riyadh, with travel to Europe and the Gulf as the pipeline requires.
