About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Content Product & Operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing our next-generation temporal and descriptive metadata tagging platform. Your expertise will help optimize the media supply chain, improve content localization, and enhance distribution operations across our global media platforms. Working closely with product managers, team leads, and cross-functional peers, you will develop backend solutions that are scalable, high-performing, and resilient. Your contributions will directly influence the way Disney manages and delivers its vast content library, ensuring seamless media experiences for audiences worldwide.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of related software development experience and hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field. They should be a motivated self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving project requirements. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively are essential. Experience working within geographically distributed teams is preferred, along with a collaborative mindset and a passion for technological innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality application code that meets project specifications and performance standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members and promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Review code and contribute to establishing coding standards to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
  • Ensure platform performance, scalability, and resiliency by implementing robust backend solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements, propose solutions, and address complex technical challenges across multiple teams.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
