This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Actuarial Consultant - REMOTE. In this pivotal role, you will significantly impact the organization by analyzing and reporting on loss and LAE reserves for Personal Lines insurance products. You will work closely with various teams such as claims, finance, and underwriting to provide actuarial insights, supporting essential reserve reviews. Your expertise in P&C reserving methodologies will allow you to independently execute analyses that guide strategic decisions. This role is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while fostering enhanced collaboration across departments. Accountabilities

  • Analyze loss development, claim trends, and severity inflation.
  • Identify reserve change drivers and communicate findings.
  • Support quarterly and annual reserve studies using actuarial techniques.
  • Monitor actual vs. expected loss emergence.
  • Assist in reinsurance treaty analysis and management.
  • Compile data for reinsurance submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with actuarial standards of practice.
  • Improve reserving tools, models, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of actuarial experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
  • ACAS or near ACAS designation required.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel; knowledge of VBA, SQL, R, or Python a plus.
