Event Coordinator – Trail Running (Casual/Part-Time)

Kinevora T/A Those Guys Events is organising trail running events across South East Queensland such as the SEQ Trail Running Series and the Guzzler Ultra. Our small team is very passionate about trail running, with most of us competing in races ourselves.

Role Description

We are looking for a casual or part-time Event Coordinator with strong organisational skills and communication skills and intricate knowledge of the trail running world. The role is fully remote, offering a great deal of flexibility.

The Event Coordinator is responsible for liaising with vendors, participants, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, authorities and other parties to ensure event logistics run smoothly. Typical tasks include preparing permits, creating volunteer rosters and handling enquiries from participants, volunteers and others.

Physical availability for working on-site in the lead-up to an event or on event day is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Event planning and event management skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Sales experience is beneficial
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in the (trail) running industry is essential
• Flexibility to work on weekends (though most work can be done at your convenience)
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks is a plus
