Role Description The Operations Coordinator will support the day-to-day functioning of LIAA by organizing administrative processes, tracking ongoing projects, and facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders. This part-time remote role includes scheduling meetings and events, maintaining project documentation, and coordinating resources and logistics for research and outreach activities. The person in this role will respond to inquiries from collaborators and partners, monitor operational workflows, and help improve procedures to ensure smooth lab operations. The Operations Coordinator will also assist with basic reporting, follow up on action items, and support the integration of new tools and practices that strengthen organizational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including organizing workflows and coordinating projects.
  • Candidates should possess solid Administrative Assistance skills, such as scheduling, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret information, prioritize tasks, and support decision-making.
  • Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to respond to inquiries and provide support to collaborators and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, managing multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience in academic, research, or nonprofit environments is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., email, online calendars, shared documents, project management platforms).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or related areas) or equivalent experience.
  • Interest in artificial intelligence, technology, and socially oriented projects in Latin America is a plus.
