As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy. Lets Talk About The Role As the Data Analytics and Forecasting Director you will lead the development of FieldCore’s vision, direction and strategy to support operations on a global scale and for all segments. You will lead a team to design the FieldCore KPIs, manage the forecasting aspect of FieldCore, collaborate with several GE businesses and align needs and deliverables and contribute to the overall business strategy. This includes deep understanding of the metrics and partnering with regional and functional GM’s to build and implement predictive analytics. How You Will Make a Difference By providing leadership to understand business critical KPIs and provide business intelligence and deep diving in the operational data you will:

  • Develop practical and innovative ways to look at an issue and align the data for better strategic decision.
  • Responsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and will have the ability to affect short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Lead team of data analytics / forecasting leaders / specialists
  • Define and own clear operational metrics (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and help set the future FieldCore regional and global strategy.
  • Facilitate and develop global and regional resource forecasts across resource pools and segments
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Regional Resource Leadership, Commercial Ops and Finance to provide accurate estimates of Field Services demand
  • Own the transfer function/relationship between upcoming outages (all product lines) and the associated impact on Field Resources volume
  • Document and understand the operational processes that govern FieldCore and seek to improve and simplify them.
  • Provide key leadership within the Sales and Operations Planning process
  • Lead weekly/monthly/quarterly sessions with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication of all tactical planning needs and real-time availability of the business demand case
  • Prepare and effectively communicate presentations for senior leadership
  • Communicate to our field teams the next initiatives of “must know”

Essential Experience

  • Progressive experience and demonstrated success and knowledge in a forecasting, sales, service operations, planning or global supply chain capacity
  • Strong experience managing and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
  • English proficiency required

Skills For Success

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent quality certification
  • Strong skill set in advanced MS Excel functions, knowledge of advanced statistics and Predix a plus
  • Self-starter able to drive change with a limited degree of direct guidance
  • GE Leadership Program graduate (OMLP (Operational Management Leadership Program), EEDP (Edison Engineering Development Program), CLP (Commercial Leadership Program), JOLP (Junior Officer Leadership Program) (GE employee only)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to execute in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and effectively manage within diverse and global cultures
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Capable of achieving results with limited resources and ability to implement creative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
