Engagement Manager

Marais Advisory partners closely with private equity firms and their portfolio companies to design enterprise AI roadmaps, evaluation frameworks, and multi-agent systems for competitive intelligence. The team brings deep technical expertise across AWS, GCP, Azure, and modern development stacks such as Python and React/TypeScript, enabling both strategy and hands-on delivery. Recent client engagements span AI roadmap development, conversational AI platform evaluation, and automated competitive intelligence systems that combine web scraping, data analysis, and strategic reporting.

Role Description The Engagement Manager will lead end-to-end client engagements, serving as the primary point of contact for enterprise and private equity clients in AI implementation and competitive intelligence projects. In this full-time remote role, responsibilities include scoping and structuring projects, managing timelines and deliverables, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. The Engagement Manager will translate complex technical concepts into clear business implications, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and guide clients through AI strategy, roadmap development, and implementation planning. Day-to-day activities involve overseeing project plans, monitoring risks and dependencies, preparing executive-ready presentations, and ensuring alignment between technical workstreams and business objectives. The role also includes contributing to internal methodologies, refining best practices, and supporting business development efforts through proposal creation and engagement planning.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess Consulting experience, with a track record of client-facing work in strategy, technology, or AI-related engagements.
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex data, assess AI use cases, and develop structured recommendations.
• Candidates should possess Program Management and Project Management skills to oversee multi-workstream engagements, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder facilitation, and executive-level presentation capabilities.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include familiarity with AI concepts and enterprise cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), experience working with private equity or enterprise clients, and comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications in project/program management or data/AI are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate across distributed teams, and build strong, trust-based client relationships.
