About the Role
We’re looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented and food-obsessed Social Media Manager to oversee and grow the social presence of a high-profile chef and one of his secondary brands. This role requires someone who lives and breathes social media, understands cultural moments as they happen, and can turn ideas into compelling content and campaigns from concept to execution.
You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day social activity, developing creative strategies, launching campaigns, and ensuring both brands maintain a strong, authentic, and engaging voice across platforms.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the food world—whether through a culinary background or experience in food media or at a CPG company—and is just as comfortable thinking strategically as they are rolling up their sleeves to create content
This is a fully remote role, but it requires excellent communication, strong ownership, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage social media accounts across platforms including (but not limited to) Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, YouTube, and emerging channels
- Ideate and execute social campaigns from start to finish aligned with brand goals including concept development, execution, and post-campaign analysis
- Create, plan, and manage content calendars with a strong focus on consistency, quality, and performance. Write compelling copy that reflects the chef’s voice and brand tone
- Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and cultural moments—and proactively bring new ideas to the table
- Create original content including graphics in Canva, short-form videos in Premiere/CapCut, and simple edits to support day-to-day posting
- Continuously keep a finger on the pulse of social media trends, cultural moments, and platform updates, proactively bringing new ideas to the table
- Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and creators as needed
- Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages when appropriate, and foster community growth
- Track performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to optimize content and strategy
- Ensure all content is on-brand, on-message, and detail-perfect before publishing
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hands-on social media management experience (food media, creator, agency experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of the food world and/or CPG industry
- Proven experience managing high-profile accounts or brands with a strong public presence driving audience growth, video views and engagement
- Deep understanding of social platforms, trends, algorithms, and best practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written communication skills and ability to adapt tone and voice
- Self-starter with the ability to manage projects independently from ideation through execution
- Highly communicative, responsive, and comfortable working in a remote environment
- Familiarity with analytics and scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Sprouts Social) and proficiency with Canva and Premiere Pro/CapCut
- College degree preferred (Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field)
