Manager - Be the Virtual CFO for your clientsFull-Time - Remote working (Australia based)Salary ‐ $110k to $130k plus Super

We seek a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Manager. This role is at the heart of our organisation, where you will excel in managing client relationships and take an active role in shaping their success. You will be a key driver in our clients' operations, bringing a CFO-like mindset to the table to ensure their financial health and sustainability. The role will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of approx. $1m in fees.

About you

We are looking for a qualified and experienced manager or strong senior looking to take the next step in their professional career. We want someone who is a team player with strong technical and communication skills, is experienced in developing staff, and enjoys fostering strong client relationships.

The Role

Your role is to manage staff workflow and development, client relationships, and assist with the technical aspects of the work. With a CFO mindset to our client’s operations, you will be encouraged to contribute ideas and opinions to any problems/situations that may arise—always ensuring that the information we provide to decision- makers is useful and makes an impact.

The role is a combination of management accounting and compliance. With a significant lean towards management accounting work (75%), you will be heavily involved in the review process of monthly reporting to key clients. Monthly reporting includes management accounts, dashboards, unit costing and ad-hoc analysis.

Compliance work consists of reviewing financial statements, activity statements, acquittal calculations and annual tax returns.

Further duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team delivers work to a high standard, on time, and meets all client expectations.
  • Maintain strong team relationships, assist with performance management, goal setting, and provide regular constructive feedback and training to junior staff.
  • Proactively develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Innovate to improve processes and drive efficiencies internally and for our clients.
  • Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies as necessary.

To be successful in this role you will need to be/have:

  • Demonstrates exceptional efficiency and productivity, consistently delivering high-quality work at a rapid pace
  • Degree qualified in Accounting (or similar)
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Minimum of 6+ years’ experience in a Business Services role or similar
  • Experienced using Xero (advanced) and Excel (intermediate)
  • Attention to detail & take ownership of your work
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and clients
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • The desire to challenge yourself and the status quo, have a curious mind
  • Must be an Australian Tax Resident
