Job Description

Posted on: August 25, 2026

Project Manager with legal technology/legal systems experience and client is required to lead complex implementation, migration, optimization, and integration projects for an established US-based technology and management consultancy specializing in solutions for government agencies, law enforcement organizations, corporate legal departments, and law firms. You must have previous experience delivering projects involving legal software such as practice management and case/document management systems.

This is a fully remote position and can be worked from any US state. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and H-1B transfers are not available.

Key skills required for the Project Manager

  • Legal technology / legal systems project experience is essential. You must have previously managed implementations, migrations, integrations, or optimization projects involving legal software, case management, document management, or comparable legal technology platforms.
  • Experience with platforms such as ProLaw, Salesforce, Filevine, Clio Operate/Sharedo, Cognos, M-Files, or similar legal technology solutions is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience managing complex technology implementation, migration, integration, or transformation projects from initiation through go-live.
  • Strong project management expertise across scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control.
  • Strong understanding of legal software implementation lifecycles, including data conversion, integrations, testing, training, cutover, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Ability to translate statements of work and project objectives into detailed project plans, milestones, resource plans, budgets, acceptance criteria, and transition activities.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to lead meetings, steering committees, and project governance sessions.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams including implementation consultants, legal subject-matter experts, developers, data specialists, system administrators, trainers, vendors, and client stakeholders.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness, including project budgets, resource utilization, forecasting, and overall delivery health.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to identify risks early, manage expectations, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple concurrent client engagements.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored visa support.

What you’ll do as a Project Manager

  • Lead multiple concurrent legal technology implementation, migration, optimization, and integration projects from kickoff through go-live, stabilization, and transition to support.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, task lists, resource plans, budgets, acceptance criteria, and transition activities.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, change requests, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate delivery across implementation consultants, legal subject-matter experts, technical teams, data specialists, developers, trainers, vendors, and client resources.
  • Lead client meetings, internal project meetings, steering committees, and working groups, ensuring decisions, actions, ownership, and follow-up items are clearly documented.
  • Coordinate data conversion, integrations, testing, training, cutover, and deployment activities while ensuring dependencies, approvals, and client responsibilities remain on track.
  • Maintain project status reports, RAID logs, decision logs, budgets, resource forecasts, and other key project documentation.
  • Monitor project financial health, delivery quality, resource utilization, and client satisfaction, escalating concerns before they impact project outcomes.
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and project teams, setting expectations, resolving issues, and supporting successful change management and user adoption.
  • Ensure projects follow established delivery methodologies, documentation standards, and project management best practices.
  • Contribute to improving project management methods, templates, governance, and delivery consistency.
  • Support proposals, work plans, and other business development activities where required.

Why this role?

You’ll join an established legal technology consultancy with more than two decades of experience delivering complex systems and transformation programs for organizations operating across the legal, government, and public-sector markets.

The business has deep expertise across platforms including ProLaw, Salesforce, Filevine, Clio Operate/Sharedo, Cognos, and M-Files, and takes a collaborative approach focused on successful implementation, knowledge transfer, and long-term client capability.

This is an opportunity to take significant ownership of complex legal technology engagements while working alongside experienced implementation consultants, technical specialists, and legal-sector subject-matter experts.

The package includes a 401(k), comprehensive health insurance, paid holidays, a flexible spending plan, performance incentives, and flexibility to adjust working hours around volunteering, self-development, fitness, wellbeing, and family commitments.

Location & work authorization: This is a fully remote role and can be based in any US state. Candidates must already have authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. H-1B transfers and other visa sponsorship are not available.
