Job Description

Posted on: April 27, 2026

Are you someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data, and making sense of regulatory requirements?

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, tech-enabled specialty insurance carrier that is looking to hire a Statistical Analyst—a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Compliance, Data and Technology.

This is not a “run the report and move on” type of position.

This is a “figure it out, build it, improve it, and own it” role.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • High visibility across Compliance, Finance, and IT
  • Opportunity to own and improve reporting processes
  • Work directly with leadership and key stakeholders
  • Blend of analytical + strategic + technical work
  • Be part of a modern, data-driven insurance platform

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own statistical and regulatory reporting across multiple lines of business
  • Break down complex DOI/regulatory filings (sometimes 20–30+ pages) into clear business and technical requirements
  • Partner with developers and technical teams to build reporting solutions
  • Work with offshore teams to produce, review, and validate reporting outputs
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all filings (ISO, CSP, surplus lines, etc.)
  • Perform data validation, reconciliations and reasonability checks
  • Improve processes and implement best practices and efficiencies
  • Occasionally interface with regulators—requires polish and professionalism

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in insurance statistical or regulatory reporting
  • Strong understanding of commercial lines insurance data
  • Experience with ISO, CSP, surplus lines, or similar reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, etc.) + exposure to SQL / Power BI / Tableau
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable steps
  • Strong communication skills—you can simplify complexity
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You enjoy being the “go-to person” for complex problems
  • You like working across teams—not in a silo
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and figuring things out
  • You want a role where you can make an impact—not just maintain

The Opportunity

  • 100% remote, flexible environment
  • Fast-growing organization with strong backing and momentum
  • Exposure to multiple lines of business and programs
  • Ability to build, influence, and grow your career
