Research Associate

The Lesbian Project are hiring a Research Associate to lead a qualitative project on experiences of lesbian parenthood 

• Fixed-term part-time 1 year contract (~33 days/0.12 FTE)
• Remote working (UK) 
• Daily rate negotiable depending on experience

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

• Masters/PhD (or equivalent experience) in social science research
• Experience in leading qualitative research projects including design, data
• collection, and analysis
• Experience conveying complex information to a variety of audiences
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to independently manage project timelines including deliverables

Desirable

• Knowledge of social science literature around same-sex families

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop project schedule, workplan, and research questions
• Present regular progress updates
• Recruit and interview participants
• Perform qualitative data analysis to extract themes and findings
• Produce final report (~10,000-15,000 words or 20-30 pages) and one research
• summary report (1-2 pages)
